En 1983, le site d'Aven Marzal, riche d'une célèbre grotte mais aussi d'un Musée du Monde Souterrain, a été complété par le premier Zoo Préhistorique de France. Celui-ci présente, le long d’un parcours ombragé de 800m, des reproductions d’animaux préhistoriques grandeur nature. Certaines scènes sont animées, et l’ensemble bénéficie d’une sonorisation tout à fait exceptionnelle et incomparable.

This zoo displays, along 800 m of shady, very accessible paths, life size reproductions of prehistoric animals. Some scenes are animated but the whole zoo resonates with sounds from the past which creates a unique atmosphere.
