  2. The Mariemont park, created in the 16th century by Marie of Hungary, was bought in the 19th century by an important dynasty of industrialists, the Warocqués. It is laid out in the English style, with lawns, lakes, age-old trees and exotic species, and fine sculptures side by side with the ruins of Charles of Lorraine's palace.
